DAY TRIP TO OURIKA

(13)

Does a one getaway to a valley with a colorful scenery and beautiful landscape sound like a good idea? Well, what a question! Of course it does, and this is exactly why we offer a one day trip to Ourika Valley, where you can see the traditional life of Moroccans living in the Atlas Mountains. A river, waterfalls, and delicious tagines, are just a few things of what Ourika has to offer. Forget about the busy life in the red city for a day, and join us for a private day trip to the Ourika Valley, departing from Marrakech.

Here’s how it goes:

We depart from Marrakech at 9 am, towards the High Atlas Mountains. During the ride, you’ll have the chance to witness the life of locals in many tiny Berber villages, and discover the beautiful scenery that the mountains have to offer.

Our first stop will be at a local Berber house with a beautiful terrace that provides you with a panoramic sight of the whole village and the Ourika valley. The local Berber woman in the house will have a Moroccan tea ceremony for us, which will give you the opportunity to have new knowledge about how tea is made and served in Morocco. We will then have a home-made Berber breakfast, including delicious things such as bread, olive oil, and pure honey.

We will take the road again to the Ourika Valley, and then have a 30 minutes camel ride around the valley so you can discover the landscapes more.

After that, we will continue our one day trip by going to Setti Fatma, where we’ll go on a 90 minutes guided tour on foot to discover the 7 waterfalls of this region and the scenery of the High Atlas. After the hike, we will get to enjoy a delicious lunch in a restaurant by the river, and then, take the road back to Marrakech, where we’ll arrive at 5pm.
